This book is a love letter to transmasculine and/or non-binary folx who completed or are seeking to have top surgery in the future. It speaks not only of my own insecurities and fears regarding the procedure, but those experiences of many transmascs/enbies who delay or stop themselves from getting it done. We worry so much about if we will be “picture perfect” on the other side of surgery, rather than focusing on how good it will feel to be free. No body is a magazine spread, and that means loving all of your folds, your scars, and slightly uneven nipples.
Featuring over 20 watercolor illustrations, bound in sturdy hardcover, this is a space which is rare out in the world-- a space for transmasculine and/or non-binary people that explores real fears, and real beauty.
Even if you aren't transmasculine, non-binary, etc, it is worth expanding your empathy in our direction. Often times, transgender men are actively dismissed, ignored, etc by mainstream society. You may know little to nothing about a procedure which changes so many lives for the better. While it is not my intention to be encyclopedic about top surgery, this book can serve to show one the little joys, the quiet little moments around it that aren't often shown or celebrated as they should.
Note: The first 20 books ordered are considered “1st Edition,” and will differ slightly with books ordered afterwards. Slight changes will be in the cover, saturation, and an inclusion of an ISBN, but no major changes to the content.
